The Equity Diversity and Inclusion in Leadership Toolkit emerged out of the Empowering Women Leaders in Health initiative funded by Status of Women Canada (now Women and Gender Equality Canada) in partnership with the Canadian College of Health Leaders, the Canadian Health Leadership Network and the University of Ottawa Research Chair in Gender, Diversity and the Professions.

The EDI in Leadership Toolkit aims to support diverse women’s leadership in health care and academic health sciences building on the foundation of the five capabilities of the LEADS in a Caring Environment Framework.

Since men, women and gender diverse people have important roles to play as leaders, mentors and sponsors in support of leadership diversity, these toolkits are available to all audiences to help promote inclusivity across all leadership positions.
